The Visualization and Graphics Lab (VGL) serves as a facility for conducting research in the areas of scientific visualization, geometry processing, and computer graphics. Current topics of research in VGL include topological methods for visualization, multiscale representation of scientific data, geometric and topological simplification, GPU acceleration for visualization, and applications of visualization in life sciences and engineering. VGL is supported by funding from Department of Science and Technology (DST,SERB) Indo-French Centre for Applied Mathematics, Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems, Intel India, Shell India, Tonbo Imaging, Mindtree.
